Sulamani

Sulamani was built in 1183 CE. It set the standard for two-level temples, emphasizing the vertical axis with vertical momentum. It is a multiple floor temple with upper floors narrower but with the same height – a pyramid. It is the ultimate expression of late period architecture.

Exterior decoration includes kirtimukhas on the corners.
